The ANC in Limpopo is set to discipline 37 branch convenors from different districts in the province. This decision follows disputes filed by branches over alleged irregularities in the convening process, including claims that some branches used non-existent or “bogus” members to convene meetings.

ANC Provincial Secretary Reuben Madadzhe has directed all regions to identify and report irregularities in branch meetings, particularly those related to improper convening procedures and the use of unauthorized members. Those found responsible will face disciplinary action. The ANC Peter Mokaba and Vhembe regions are at the center of these disputes, which may lead to further internal divisions and contested leadership battles within the party.
Several branches in Peter Mokaba region and Sekhukhune were at the center of controversy following the violent clashes that arose from Brach Meetings.
ANC says the conferences will be further delayed until all the disputes are resolved. The Norman Mashabane region envisaged conference set to take place on the first week of April has been missed due to outstanding resolution of disputes.
