Limpopo ANC spokesperson Jimmy Machaka has taken to social media to rally his support for the incoming ANC Peter Mokaba Chairperson, Mamedupi Teffo, and Deputy Chairperson Tonny Rachoene. The two leaders are part of the collective that will contest the upcoming Peter Mokaba regional conference. The conference will take place on the 29th to the 30th of April 2025.
Machaka wrote on his social media “It’s Friday, I chose Cde Tonny Rachoene and Mamedupi Teffo” Machaka who is from the Blouberg sub-region is leading several branches that nominated him for the position of Provincial spokesperson. With Machaka’s alignment, the Braches have also rallied their support behind the incoming collective leadership of Rachoene and Mamedupi Teffo.
Rachoene who is the current Public Works MEC has been touted as a favorite, enjoying a lot of support from the ANC Youth League, and the sub-regions of Molemole, Blouberg, Polokwane, and Sefako Makgatho.
Rachoene is also instrumental in reviving Public Works department as a job-creating machine. Under Rachoene leadership, the department has created over 300-permanants jobs.
Mamedupi Teffo who is currently the Executive Mayor of Capricorn enjoys support from the four sub-regions and also ANC Women’s league.
