The owner of Mr Sparks Tavern was shot and killed by unknown suspects during Tribby’s performance at Ga-Matlala village outside Marble Hall in Limpopo on Saturday’s night. It is alleged that the Tavern owner, Mr Sparks was collecting entrance fees at the gate during Tribby’s performance when the shooting incident happened.
Police were called to the scene and eye witnesses told them that “They heard gunshots during the collection of entrance fees and Mr Sparks was shot several times in his upper body. Mr Sparks was rushed to Matlala hospital where he was certified dead on the scene, Four other patrons were shot and wounded.”
Police says they found twelve empty bullet cases at the scene. Police are investigating the motive for the shooting, but territory rivalrly could not be ruled out.
