The ANC’s Sekhukune Regional Conference, scheduled for Thursady and Friday, has been halted at the last minute due to a court interdict. This after Mapo Blessing Pitjadi brought an urgent application before the Sekhukhune Magistrate court to demand that the conference be halted until his brach seat nominated delegates to the conference.

In the court papers, Pitjadi alleges that there were disputes that were not resolved during the Phokanoka Branch in Ward 36 during a Brach meeting held on the 30th of March 2025.

The ANC that challenged the application has been ordered to pay the cost of the applicant.
The Regional Conference was set to go ahead at Boiketlong Lodge with the current Executive Mayor of Sekhukhune vying for a top position.
