The current MEC for Limpopo Public Works and Infrastructure, Tonny Rachoene, has been poised for the position of ANC Deputy Chairperson Peter Mokaba region.
Rachoene, who is the former ANC Youth League Chaiperson in Limpopo enjoys much support from the current ANC Youth League. Rachoene is also supported by Sefako-Makgato, Polokwane, Molemole, and Blouberg sub-regions. He remains uncontested for the position of Deputy Chairperson.

The ANC Youth League Chairperson Faith Sebopela a close ally of Rachoene, has been championing for Rachoene to be co-opted into the Provincial Executive Committtee. Sebopela commented the work Rachoene is doing at Public Works by resuscitating the department to its former glory.

During the provincial ANC Youth League Conference last month, the newly elected Secretary Phineas Sebola also affirmed their support for Rachoene.
“We want to affirm our support for Tonny Rachoene as the MEC and we say he must be co-opted into the PEC. He is doing great job by employing young people and we want him to remain as MEC” Sebola said
Rachuone has employed over 400 workers including young people since assuming office as the MEC. The employment came through the department’s internal capacity programme of Dikgerekgere. The programme has been able to rehabilitate most gravel roads in the province.

The current Provincial Chairperson of ANC Women’s League Mamedupi Teffo is vying for the position of Chairperson in the Peter Mokaba region. The slate includes Sammy Selamolela for the Secretary position, Gideon Chepape as the Deputy Secretary, and Makhasane Mabote for Treasurer.
