Limpopo Premier Phophi Ramathuba has unleashed her lawyers againts The New Age Online Newspaper demanding a retraction of what she says it was an article aimed at smearing her name. The Newspaper allegedly linked Ramathuba to the alleged corruption of tenders at the Mogalakwena municipality. Ramathuba says the article published by the newspaper with information “Leaked documents tie Ramathuba to R1 Billion rand Scandal” was mischeveous.
The Premier argues that the contents of the article are falsely portraying or insunuating that she is a corrupt person who abused her position of power.
Ramathuba says the aricle was written without giving her a right of reply with distortion of facts.
Ramathuba ordered the New Age Newspaper to retract the article or be dragged to court.
