COSATU Limpopo province staged a picket outside Maxi’s Restaurant, the Mokopane Hotel, and the Mogalakwena municipality to demand fair treatment of workers. According to COSATU provincial Secretary Hangwani Mashao, the action was prompted by reports that Maxis Restaurant fails to comply with health and occupational safety standards, with allegations of cockroach and rat infestations in the kitchen.
Mashao further stated that employees at the restaurant are also being denied their overtime pay, exacerbating their plight.
According to Mashau, reports indicate that workers at the Mokopane Hotel are still awaiting payment of their salaries. He alleges that despite repeated promises from management, the workers remain unpaid.

COSATU also staged a march at the Mogalakwena municipality in support of over 200 workers who face termination after decades of service. The municipality claims that the workers were appointed illegally, prompting widespread discontent among the affected employees.
COSATU submitted the memorandum and gave all the stakeholders 14 days to respond
