The ANC Working Committee in Limpopo has suspended Boy Mamabolo due to his social media utterances that brought the party into disrepute.¹ According to ANC spokesperson Jimmy Machaka, the decision was made after Mamabolo’s repeated insults, prompting the party to invoke Rule 25.9 of the ANC Constitution.
The ANC Youth League in Limpopo has also called for Mamabolo’s removal, citing his disrespect towards women. Phineas Sebola, the ANCYL secretary, condemned Mamabolo’s behavior, stating that his swearing at women shows a blatant disregard for their dignity
In response, Mamabolo has taken the ANC Youth League and the Veterans League to court, seeking an interdict to prevent them from taking further action against him.
