The New Peter Mokaba stadium will host Sekhukhune United vs. Stellenbosch FC on Sunday, 16 March 2025.Babina Noko will officially reopen the stadium after it went pitch restoration.
The pitch was destroyed in December last year during the Makhadzi music festival. Scores of Makhadzi fans that invaded the pitch left it severely damaged.
The Polokwane municipality invested over R500 thousand rands to revive the pitch. The pitcht was initially scheduled to be reopened when Bafana Bafana took on Lesotho on the 21st of March 2025. According to the new reports, Babina-Noko will have the opportunity to reopen the stadium on Sunday.
