Limpopo ANC Youth League Secretary Phineas Sebola says they want their Youth League Provincial Chairperson, Faith Sebopela, as the MEC. Sebola says they have identified departments that Sebopela will be able to serve.
“Sebopela has shown great leadership, and we believe she will be suitable in all departments. We don’t want Sports and Social development. We want all departments except these two,” Sebola said.
Speaking during a media briefing in Polokwane, Sebola says they want 70 percent of raw minerals mined in South Africa to be processed locally. Sebola says this will ensure that young people are employed in the processing of minerals and gain employment.
Sebola further said the provincial government needs to industrialize and build key factories. He says this will positively respond to the increase in unemployment in the country. Last week, Statistician General Risinga Maluleke announced that Unemployment in the country increased to 32.9 percent.
Sebola also says they want the government to fill all vacant funded posts in the province. He says this will allow the province to create more jobs in the province.
