The families of the late Kings Mamphoku Makgoba and Kgosi Mampuru II have not given up their search for the missing bodies of their grandfathers.

The great-great-grandson of Kgosi Mamphoku Makgoba, Mokopa Makgoba, says they will exhume the king’s remains and conduct DNA tests to locate his missing skull. Kgosi Mokopa Makgoba says they have been searching for the skull of Makgoba without success.

Mamphoku Makgoba was killed by Boer leader Piet Joubert in 1895. His head was decapitated and sent to Pretoria as proof that he had been killed.
The Great-Great-Grandson of Makgoba, Mokopa, says they will continue the search for the head of Makgoba so that he can be laid to rest.
