
The ANC Women’s League in Limpopo has thrown its weight behind current Premier Dr. Phophi Ramathuba for the provincial chair position in the 2026 conference. Ramathuba who became the first female premier of the province is set to make another history by becoming the first female provincial chairman after the conference.

Mamadupi Teffo, the chairperson of the ANC Women’s League in Limpopo, has expressed strong support for Provincial Premier Dr. Phophi Ramathuba, praising her dedication to provincial administration. Teffo believes Ramathuba’s commitment to her role is evident in her work, making a strong case for her potential leadership positions.

Sekhukhune Executive Mayor Minah Bahula has also thrown her weight in support of Ramathuba. All five ANC regions, Norman Mashabane, Peter Mokaba, Vhembe, Sekhukhue, and Waterberg have all thrown their weight behind Ramathuba.
Ramathuba is set to replace the current chairperson Stan Mathabatha for the ultimate seat.Ramathuba is set to take the ultimate seat uncontested.
