The ANC in Limpopo says the Regional Conferences will be held in June this year. ANC Spokesperson Jimmy Machaka says the province has adopted roadmaps and guidelines for the conference.
“We expect all regions to comply with Guidlines to conferences and wish them well,” Machaka said
While the preparations are underway, the regions that are expected to be hotly contested are the regions of Norman Mashabane and Peter Mokaba.
According to Insider, the current regional Chairperson John Mpe is set to be vying for the for third term.
Mpe will be contested by the current chairperson of the Women’s League Mamedupi Teffo.
Few names in Norman Mashabane region, have been put forward.The current Chairperson Pule Shai set to go for a third term. Shai is known for being on the favorable slate of President Ramaphosa. Shai and other prominent ANC leaders at Waterberg region are known to have defended Ramaphosa for a second term during the ANC National Elective Conference at Narsec.
